Many people are working from home these days and it’s important to stay centered and healthy while doing so. Here are some tips to help you take a break from your daily routine to focus on yourself!

First thing in the day, avoid picking up your phone. Instead spend 10 to 15 minutes on self-care.. 

Breathing is a practice that is good for stress relief. It also helps you become 

centered. Try the technique 4-7-8 breathing, where you breathe in for a count of 4, hold in your breath for 7 and breath out for a count of 8. It really helps to relieve anxiety and rest the autonomic nervous system.

Another tip is to move and stretch your body especially as it can be uncomfortable staying in the same position for long periods of time. Staying active improves immunity and boosts mental health. It doesn’t have to be just indoors – going outside each day for 15 minutes offers fresh air and sunshine, which helps the body create vitamin D. 

Eat well – good nutrition is essential when times get stressful, and eating meals rich in plant-based foods helps you gain more phytonutrients.
