This is a form of massage used to manipulate the bones of the skull, spine and pelvic regions. The pressure relieves pain and tension and influences the central nervous system.

The premise of craniosacral therapy is that through gentle manipulation of the bones in the skull, spine, and pelvis, blockages in the central nervous system will be reduced, which enables the body to heal more quickly and effectively

This form of therapy is performed by physical therapists, osteopaths, and medical professionals. The practice consists of a series of gentle placements of the hands on specific parts of the body to release “fascia”, the body’s connective tissue. Craniosacral therapy is about how the different parts of the body work together as one collective unit. When pressure is relieved in either the skull, spine, or pelvis, we may feel pain relief in various other parts of the body.

This form of therapy is safe to use on everyone including children and the elderly, but not safe to use on infants or babies.  Craniosacral therapy can help:

  • Chronic pain
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Migraine
  • Multiple sclerosis
